Garden Super Hero
For all of you who continually battle slugs and snails there is hope (on the West Coast anyway). The slim, trim Snail-Killer Carabid (Scaphinotus angusticollis) is especially adapted to get right in snail shells to dispatch the snail and it also eats banana slugs. Quite a nice looking beetle with it’s reddish coloured stream lined body.
Return of the Vandal
Well, after destroying our gunnera, the buck was back yesterday attacking our bay laurel bush. It was actually charging the tree and ripping branches off. I had to escort him off the property.
